Shaded Lilies: Center for the Prevention of Intimate Voyeurism is a nonprofit organization founded on March 13, 2024, by Dr. Tina L. Kandakai. The Center’s purpose is to bring awareness of the harms of technology facilitated sexual violence, specifically, intimate video voyeurism and to build the capacity of public and private institutions, caregivers, and youth to identify and reduce environmental risks.
Intimate video voyeurism is defined as the act of watching, videotaping, audio-recording, or photographing someone without permission, who is undressing, naked, showering, relieving themselves, or engaging in sexual activity in settings where there is a legal right and expectation of privacy.
“Shaded Lilies” is a euphemism for “guarding the humility of the innocent” and symbolizes the thousands of unassuming children and women whose expectations of privacy are unknowingly violated.
Unknowing Victims
People are secretly videotaped while undressing in the locker rooms at schools, universities, athletic clubs, training facilities, and community centers across the U.S.
